HB 395-TRANSFER OF RAILROAD PROPERTY 1:37:41 PM CHAIR KAUFMAN announced the consideration of HOUSE BILL NO. 395 "An Act approving the transfer of land owned by the Alaska Railroad Corporation to the City of Nenana; and providing for an effective date." He noted that this is the second hearing of the bill, and the intention is to take public testimony and any further questions from committee members. 1:38:04 PM CHAIR KAUFMAN opened public testimony on HB 395; finding none, he closed public testimony. 1:38:51 PM SENATOR MYERS expressed appreciation for the provisions laid out in HB 395 that are conducive to community economic development at little to no cost while encouraging forward movement for the state. He expressed his support for the swift passing of the legislation. 1:39:29 PM At ease 1:40:01 PM CHAIR KAUFMAN reconvened the meeting and solicited a motion. 1:40:07 PM SENATOR TOBIN moved to report HB 395, work order 33-LS1537\A, from committee with individual recommendations and attached fiscal note(s). 1:40:24 PM CHAIR KAUFMAN found no objection and HB 395 was reported from the Senate Transportation Standing Committee.
